Positive Efforts by Government Yield Results, 387 Sanitation Workers Return to Work

 

 

Cabinet Minister Sh. Vipul Goel said that the positive decisions taken by the State Government in the interest of sanitation workers and the continuous appeals being made by the government are showing results. Today, 387 sanitation workers across the state have returned to work.

 

He said that the government has taken several important decisions in the interest of sanitation workers. Eligible sanitation workers will be provided job security under the Haryana Contractual Employees (Security of Service) Act, 2024, while the total monthly payment of eligible sanitation workers who have completed more than 10 years of service has been increased from ₹20,590 to ₹25,560. In addition, other social and economic security benefits are also being provided.

 

Sh. Goel said that the government stands with sanitation workers at every step and is continuously engaged in positive dialogue and taking action to resolve their legitimate demands.

 

Welcoming all sanitation workers who have returned to work in the interest of the state, he said that sanitation workers play an extremely important role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the sanitation system.

 

The Cabinet Minister also appealed to the remaining sanitation workers to return to work at the earliest and ensure their active participation in strengthening the state's sanitation system. He said that the government is committed to protecting the interests of sanitation workers through dialogue, sensitivity and a positive approach.
