Goswami Tulsidas Ji Showed Society the Path of Morality, Service and Sacrifice through Ramcharitmanas: CM Nayab Singh Saini

 Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Goswami Tulsidas Ji was not only a great poet but also a visionary saint who, through his writings, took the devotion and ideals of Lord Shri Ram to every section of society and brought about a cultural renaissance in India. He gave society the message of morality, good conduct, duty, sacrifice, service and humanity.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini was addressing the Goswami Tulsidas Jayanti Samaroh organized at the Chief Minister’s residence in Chandigarh on Sunday. Representatives of the Goswami community, sarpanches, panches and social workers from Haryana and Punjab were present on the occasion. Paying obeisance to Goswami Tulsidas Ji, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt greetings to all the people of the state on his birth anniversary. The Chief Minister announced that all demands of the Goswami community would be fulfilled on priority, including providing Rs. 31 lakh for the construction of Goswami Dharamshala in Chandan Nagar, Hisar. He also honoured sarpanches and other dignitaries of the Goswami community.

Samaroh strengthens the shared culture and brotherhood of Punjab and Haryana

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that this place is imbued with the spirit of our great saint tradition, social harmony and the centuries-old affectionate relationship between Punjab and Haryana. He said that the presence of people from both Punjab and Haryana at today’s Samaroh is proof that administrative boundaries may be different, but there are no boundaries to our culture, faith, values and relationships.

Welcoming all representatives of the Goswami community from Punjab and Haryana, he congratulated the sarpanches, panches and social workers of both states. The Chief Minister said that honouring a public representative is not merely an honour for their position, but also an honour for the trust placed in them by the people of the village.

Goswami Tulsidas Ji showed a ray of hope to society during difficult circumstances

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the very mention of Goswami Tulsidas Ji evokes feelings of devotion, morality, knowledge and public welfare. He was not only a great poet but also a visionary who lit a lamp of hope before society even during difficult circumstances. He said that at a time when society needed the right direction, self-confidence and cultural consciousness, Tulsidas Ji united society through his words and instilled values in it. He gave the message that the true meaning of religion is to connect one human being with another.

Ramcharitmanas is not merely a story, but teaches the values of righteous living

The Chief Minister said that through Ramcharitmanas, Goswami Tulsidas Ji did not merely narrate the story of Lord Shri Ram, but also taught the values and discipline of life. He said that the answers to questions such as what a son’s duty towards his father should be, how a brother should behave towards his brother, what a king’s responsibility towards his subjects should be, what the duty of a servant is, and what responsibility every individual has towards society, can all be found in simple language in Ramcharitmanas.

He said that the message of Tulsidas Ji remains equally relevant even today because he placed duty above rights, sacrifice above selfishness, and the happiness of the last person in society as the objective of governance.

Tulsidas Ji’s thoughts inspire good governance and an ideal society

The Chief Minister said that Tulsidas Ji envisioned a Ram Rajya where no one would be unhappy, no one would suffer from deprivation, everyone would be happy and everyone would be healthy. He said that this is not merely a religious or literary imagination, but a vision of good governance and an ideal society.

He said that even today, the fundamental objective of governance should be to ensure dignity for every individual, ensure that no one is discriminated against, ensure that no person remains deprived of basic facilities, and bring every section of society into the mainstream of development.

Prime Minister is fulfilling the vision of Tulsidas

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has implemented policies in accordance with the vision of Goswami Tulsidas that have fulfilled the hopes of the poor and needy. The vision of Ram Rajya envisaged by Tulsidas Ji has been re-established in the country over the last 12 years.

He cited the works ranging from Kashi Vishwanath Dham to the restoration of Somnath Temple as examples of India’s spiritual awakening. He also gave detailed information about various schemes, including free treatment of up to Rs. 5 lakh for poor families through the Ayushman-Chirayu scheme, houses provided to crores of families across the country through housing schemes, and installation of solar panels under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He described all these initiatives as examples of the vision of Ram Rajya envisaged by Goswami Tulsidas Ji being translated into reality.

Aam Aadmi Party and Congress only make announcements, we fulfil commitments

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that there is a difference in the political will of the BJP and other parties. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party had made 57 announcements before the elections, most of which it is now making efforts to fulfil as the next election approaches, whereas we had made 217 commitments during the elections, out of which 70 commitments have already been fulfilled in just one-and-a-half years and work on 147 commitments is progressing rapidly.

He said that parties such as the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress make announcements with the mindset that once they come to power, they will think about fulfilling the announcements later. Then, when the next election approaches, they start making efforts to fulfil them. The Punjab Government has also started taking action on its announcement of providing Rs. 1,000 to women only after the elections have come closer, so that it can once again secure votes in the next election.

Major irregularities in recruitments in Punjab; jobs being provided in Haryana without ‘parchi-kharchi’

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that in Haryana, the government provided jobs to 25,000 youth even before taking oath, and so far, more than 2 lakh youth have been provided government jobs without ‘parchi-kharchi’. A large number of hardworking youth from villages, big and small, have received jobs.

In contrast, major irregularities have come to light in just the last two recruitments in Punjab, due to which the honest and hardworking youth of Punjab have suffered.

The Chief Minister said that a delegation of industrialists from Punjab had met him recently and informed him that due to the wrong policies of the government in Punjab, industrialists were facing a situation where they had to consider moving out of the state.

He said that when they requested him to provide land for industries in Haryana, he told them that if they wished, the government was ready to provide them land here. However, given the prevailing situation in Punjab, a BJP government would also be formed in Punjab in a few days.

Therefore, he advised them not to decide to leave Punjab yet. He said that after the BJP government is formed, Punjab too would be strengthened in the same manner as Haryana, and welfare-oriented policies similar to those in Haryana would also be implemented in Punjab.
