CM Nayab Singh Saini Announces Development Works Worth Crores of Rupees for Bawani Khera Assembly Constituency
Chandigarh, September 6: Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while addressing the ‘Vikas Sankalp Jansabha’ organised at the Grain Market in Bawani Khera on Sunday, went beyond the demands placed by the programme organiser and Bawani Khera MLA Kapoor Valmiki on the stage and generously announced new development works worth crores of rupees for the constituency.
On the long-standing demand to grant subdivision status to Bawani Khera, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Bawani Khera would be granted sub-division status in 2028 as soon as the delimitation process is completed. The gathering present at the event expressed its gratitude to the Chief Minister with applause and cheers following the announcement.
Announcing various development works, the Chief Minister said that the 50-bed Civil Hospital in Bawani Khera town would be expanded, with Rs. 50 crore being spent on the construction of a new building and provision of all kinds of modern facilities. A 33 KV sub-station would be constructed in Rewari Khera village at a cost of Rs. 16.50 crore. A building for a Women’s College would be constructed in Khark Kalan village. A new vegetable market would be constructed in Bawani Khera town once land is made available.
The Chief Minister said that Gram Sachivalayas would be constructed in Baliyali and Jamalpur villages at a cost of Rs. 90 lakh each. Multipurpose halls would be constructed in Barsi Gujran and Sai villages at a cost of Rs. 90 lakh each, respectively. He announced that a Maharana Pratap Community Centre would be constructed in Kalinga village at a cost of Rs. 85 lakh, while Community Centres would be constructed in Madhana village at a cost of Rs. 1.75 crore and in Mundhal Kalan village at a cost of Rs. 80 lakh.
The Chief Minister announced the construction of a park in Sirsa Ghoghra village at a cost of Rs. 19 lakh, reconstruction and expansion of the waterworks in Kalinga village at a cost of Rs. 24.47 crore, and a stadium in Jatu Lohari village subject to availability of land. He also announced that sports facilities would be provided in Tigriana and Dhanana villages at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh each. An e-library would be constructed in Bawani Khera at a cost of Rs. 1 crore, while a Maharshi Valmiki Bhawan would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 crore.
The Chief Minister announced that a building named after Mahatma Jyotiba Phule would be constructed in Bawani Khera at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh. In addition, a new building for the Bawani Khera Municipal Council office would be constructed in the town at a cost of Rs. 5 crore. A stadium named after Maharshi Valmiki would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 15 crore, while a new Rest House of the Public Works Department (PWD) would be constructed in Bawani Khera at a cost of Rs. 10 crore.
The Chief Minister announced that the maintenance of 13 roads of the Marketing Board in the Bawani Khera Assembly Constituency, covering a total length of 40.7 kilometres and falling under the DLP, would be undertaken by the concerned agency. Similarly, the maintenance of 68 PWD roads in the Bawani Khera Assembly Constituency, covering a total length of 184.10 kilometres and falling under the DLP, would be undertaken by the agency. Special repairs would be carried out on 47 roads with a total length of 94.5 kilometres at a cost of Rs. 55.45 crore. He also announced the construction of 25 kilometres of unpaved farm-to-field roads and the release of Rs. 5 crore for the development of all villages in the Assembly Constituency.
