Seva, Participation and Public Welfare to Come Together, Government Schemes to Reach Every Section: Cabinet Minister Krishan Lal Panwar*
*Preparations completed in Panipat to take Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to people*
Chandigarh, September 17: Haryana Panchayats and Mining Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, reviewed preparations for the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan in a meeting with officials and issued necessary directions to make the campaign effective and successful. He directed the officials to ensure that the campaign does not remain confined to a government programme but becomes a broad-based public participation campaign, so that the benefits of welfare schemes and government services reach the maximum number of people.
Chairing a meeting with officials in Panipat on Thursday, Cabinet Minister Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which will continue till October 17, is an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of service, dedication and public welfare. Various activities will be organised across the district over a period of one month. These programmes will engage different sections of society and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes, while also creating awareness about the importance of community service.
He directed the officials to ensure that officers assigned responsibility for each programme discharge their duties with utmost seriousness and coordination. The core objective of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to connect public service with public participation. Active participation of people should be ensured in all activities organised under the campaign. Administrative officers should visit the field to monitor arrangements and ensure that the message of the campaign reaches every village and every section of society in urban areas.
MLA Sh. Parmod Vij and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar Vashisht briefed the minister in detail about the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Superintendent of Police Megha and officials of various departments were also present.
