Chandigarh, September 17: Haryana Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda said that officers and employees should discharge their duties with a spirit of service and a sense of dedication towards the nation. He said that ensuring citizens receive the benefits of government schemes is the greatest form of public service, as it provides support to those in need. He said the primary objective of the government is to ensure, in the spirit of Antyodaya, that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person standing in the queue.
The Minister was addressing a district-level Seva Sankalp Abhiyan programme organised at Shri Krishna Pranami Temple in Bhiwani on Thursday as the chief guest, to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s public service. A blood donation camp was also organised during the programme, where the Education Minister encouraged blood donors by pinning badges on them. He said that a single drop of blood can provide a new lease of life to a helpless person.
The Minister also enquired about the well-being of persons with disabilities residing at Apna Ghar, which is being run on the temple premises, and presented them sweets. During the programme, stalls were set up by various departments, including Health, Banking Services, Transport, Agriculture, Swachh Bharat Mission, Animal Husbandry, Food and Supplies, District Child Welfare Council, and Women and Child Development, to provide information about government schemes and services.
MLA Sh. Ghanshyam Sarraf, Deputy Commissioner Sh. Sahil Gupta, SDM Sh. Mahesh Kumar, DMC Sh. Harveer Singh, Sh. Virender Kaushik, Chairman of the Board of School Education Haryana, Advocate Sh. Shankar Lal Dhupar, and Sh. Vikram Singh were also present.
