Chandigarh, October 6: Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s visit to Singapore, aimed at further strengthening Haryana’s identity on the global investment map, concluded with significant achievements. During the visit, various companies and institutions agreed to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for investment proposals worth approximately Rs 5,500 crore in Haryana. These investment proposals are expected to give impetus not only to industrial development in the state but also to modern healthcare services, water management, education, skill development and creation of new employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Singapore visit would prove instrumental in strengthening the resolve of ‘Viksit Haryana-Viksit Bharat’. The growing interest of global investors in Haryana reflects that the state is rapidly emerging as a reliable and attractive destination for investment, innovation and industry.
He said that the state government is committed to providing investors with transparent governance, better connectivity, strong infrastructure, skilled human resources and a conducive business environment. The government’s objective is not merely to attract investment, but also to ensure that investments are grounded within a time-bound framework and create employment opportunities for the youth.
Rs 3,000 Crore Investment in Health & Wellness Sector
During Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s Singapore visit, investment proposals worth approximately Rs 3,000 crore were agreed upon in the health and wellness sector. The proposed investments are expected to boost the development of state-of-the-art hospitals, healthcare centres, wellness facilities, medical research and expansion of modern technologies in the healthcare sector in Haryana.
The Chief Minister said that a healthy society is the foundation of a developed society. The state government is continuously working to provide quality, accessible and modern healthcare services to every citizen. Investment in the health and wellness sector will not only strengthen healthcare facilities but also create opportunities for employment, skill development and adoption of new technologies in the medical sector.
Rs 1,500 Crore Investment Proposed in Water Treatment & Management
In view of Singapore’s advanced water management technologies, investors also showed keen interest in Haryana in the field of water treatment and management. Investment proposals worth approximately Rs 1,500 crore have been agreed upon in this sector.
These investments are expected to promote the development of modern water treatment plants, sewage treatment, industrial water management, water reuse and smart water management systems. This will help ensure better utilisation of water resources in urban and industrial areas while also strengthening environmental protection.
The Chief Minister said that water security is one of the biggest priorities for the future. The Haryana Government is laying special emphasis on adopting modern technologies for water conservation, augmentation and scientific management. Collaboration between Singapore’s expertise and Haryana’s requirements will open up new possibilities in the field of water management.
Rs 1,000 Crore Investment Agreed Upon in Education and Skill Development
Investment proposals worth approximately Rs 1,000 crore have also been agreed upon in the education sector. This is expected to accelerate the expansion of modern educational institutions, skill development centres, technical education, digital learning and employment-oriented training facilities.
The Chief Minister said that the biggest strength of a developed Haryana would be its young and skilled human resources. Singapore’s advanced education system, technical expertise and skill-based training can provide wide-ranging benefits to students and youth in Haryana.
He said that the government is laying special emphasis on providing youth not merely with degrees, but with skills, technical proficiency and greater opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship. This will prepare the youth of Haryana for better opportunities not only at the national level but also internationally.
Haryana Emerges as a Reliable Destination for Investors: Chief Minister
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the Haryana Government has laid special emphasis on policy reforms, better infrastructure and ensuring a conducive business environment to promote investment. He said that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, extensive work is being undertaken to make the country self-reliant, prosperous and developed. The Haryana Government is also working continuously with the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat-Viksit Haryana’ at the centre of its efforts to strengthen the state’s economy, provide employment to the youth and ensure better facilities for citizens.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that once the investment proposals received from Singapore are implemented on the ground, they will create thousands of new employment opportunities, facilitate the expansion of modern technologies, improve healthcare services, promote the use of new technologies in water management and create new opportunities in education and skill development.
He said that necessary action would be taken in coordination with the concerned departments to convert these investment proposals into actual projects.
