*Minister Chairs District Grievances Committee Meeting at Bhiwani*
Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Sh. Rajesh Nagar, on Friday, chaired the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee at the local Panchayat Bhawan in Bhiwani district. The Minister heard 13 complaints, of which nine were resolved on the spot.
Sh. Rajesh Nagar directed officers to take citizens’ grievances seriously and ensure prompt redressal of basic issues related to electricity, drinking water and other essential services. In a case concerning a solar electricity bill, he directed that the amount be recovered from the electricity employee whose negligence had resulted in the bill.
While hearing the complaint of Mahavir, a resident of Seva Nagar, the Minister directed the concerned officers to increase the duration of drinking water supply. In the complaint of Sukhbir Singh of New Housing Board, Sector-13, he asked Bhiwani MLA, Sh. Ghanshyam Saraf, to mediate in the matter and directed the police to take necessary action regarding the CCTV cameras in the complainant’s street. In Gopal Kumar’s electricity bill complaint, he directed that action be taken in accordance with the Supreme Court judgment.
Hearing the complaint of Jogender of Kuloth Kalan, Jhunjhunu district, the Minister directed the immediate installation of an electricity meter. In Kunal’s complaint concerning ownership of land in Dhanana-II village, he directed that partition of the land be carried out as per rules. In a solar system-related complaint of Kashmir Singh of Vidya Nagar, Sh. Nagar directed the power corporation officials to recover the electricity bill amount from the employee responsible for negligence.
Hearing the complaint of Ramesh Kumar of Gujrani village regarding the death of his wife at a private hospital, the Minister directed the Superintendent of Police to ensure a thorough and prompt investigation into the matter. In a waterlogging-related electricity connection case from Mitathal village, he directed the Tehsildar to conduct a site inspection along with the complainant and submit a report.
In a loan waiver-related complaint from Ajitpura village, the Minister issued directions to the concerned department regarding recovery. In a complaint concerning irregularities in development works at Sirsi village, he directed that appropriate action be taken after receipt of the laboratory report on samples of construction material. Hearing the complaint of Advocate Sandeep Kaushik, he directed the police to arrest the accused at the earliest and take action as per law.
Bhiwani MLA, Sh. Ghanshyam Saraf, Bawani Khera MLA, Sh. Kapoor Singh Valmiki, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Sahil Gupta, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Mayank Mishra, and other officers and committee members were present.
