Chandigarh, September 22- Haryana continues to witness sustained growth in innovation, technology and global business activities. Driven by the state’s conducive industrial policies, skilled human resources and strong business environment, leading global companies are increasingly choosing Haryana for investment and expansion of their global operations. In this direction, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh on Monday inaugurated the first Innovation Centre in India of Prudential Financial Inc. (PFI) at Cyber City, Gurugram, under Haryana’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy.
Addressing the programme, Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that Prudential Financial (PFI), a nearly 150-year-old Fortune 200 company, has established its first Innovation Center in India, and the opening of this center in Gurugram reflects Haryana’s growing global identity and investors’ confidence in the state.
He said Gurugram has today established itself as one of the world’s leading global business hubs. Its strong business and innovation ecosystem in financial services, information technology, consulting and modern technology sectors has made Gurugram a preferred destination for leading global companies. The establishment of an Innovation Centre here by a reputed global institution like PFI will further strengthen this identity.
The Cabinet Minister further said the launch of PFI Innovation Centre India under Haryana’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy underscores the growing confidence of global companies in the state. He congratulated the PFI team on this important initiative. Rao Narbir Singh said Haryana has a strong availability of high-quality talent and a skilled workforce, which makes the state an attractive destination for global companies.
He said that as per the feedback received by him, Haryana’s GCC Policy is among the leading policies of different states in the country. The incentives offered under the policy are higher compared to other locations, and their benefits are made available expeditiously and without unnecessary hurdles.

The Industries and Commerce Minister said the Haryana Government is laying special emphasis on providing the state’s youth with opportunities to work with global companies and advance in modern technologies and new skills. He said the PFI Innovation Centre India will play an important role in accelerating innovation and high-skill-based work in finance, artificial intelligence (AI), technology and other emerging areas. Rao Narbir Singh said the Haryana Government is making efforts to provide global companies with the necessary facilities along with a conducive policy environment for investment, expansion, research and innovation. Such an investment-friendly ecosystem is playing an important role in making Haryana an attractive destination for global companies.
