IGNOU Extends Last Date for Admission and Re-Registration for July 2026 Session till September 30*

Chandigarh, September 17 – Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), providing students an opportunity to pursue higher education and continue their studies, has extended the last date for fresh admissions and re-registration for the July 2026 session till September 30, 2026.

Sharing more details in this regard, a spokesperson of the University said that the last date for fresh admissions to all notified programmes offered in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes for the July 2026 session has been extended till September 30, 2026. However, the extension will not apply to semester-based programmes and certificate programmes.

The spokesperson said that students seeking re-registration will have to pay a late fee of Rs. 200 in addition to the prescribed fee. The re-registration facility is applicable to all programmes offered in ODL and online modes.
