*Health Minister Gives Major Development Push to Rural Areas of Rewari*

*Lays Foundation Stone of Sub-Health Centre Worth Over Rs. 55 Lakh at Kakoria, Inaugurates Development Works Worth Over Rs. 45 Lakh*

Chandigarh, September 19 – Haryana Health, Medical Education and AYUSH Minister, Ms. Arti Singh Rao, on Saturday gave a major development push to rural areas of Rewari by inaugurating various development works and laying the foundation stone of a Sub-Health Centre during a public meeting held at village Kakoria in Rewari district. The Health Minister inaugurated development works completed at a cost of over Rs. 45 lakh under the Zila Parishad scheme and laid the foundation stone of a Sub-Health Centre building to be constructed at a cost of over Rs. 55 lakh.

The Health Minister inaugurated various development works completed at a cost of over Rs. 45 lakh. These included a pipeline for drainage of wastewater in village Mundhalia, construction of a boundary wall around Devta Wala Johad in village Lisana, a boundary wall at the cremation ground in village Gangayacha Jatt, and a pipeline for drainage of wastewater along the phirni. She also inaugurated a tin shed constructed near the Shiv Temple and the Valmiki Chaupal in village Kakoria.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that development of rural areas is among the priorities of the State Government. Development works are being undertaken continuously to strengthen basic amenities in villages so that people have access to better facilities within their own areas. She said that strengthening essential infrastructure such as drainage would improve facilities for rural residents while also addressing requirements related to public places.

The Minister said that the development works inaugurated on Saturday are directly linked to the day-to-day needs of villagers. Works such as wastewater drainage pipelines, boundary walls around the johad and cremation ground, and facilities such as a tin shed and chaupal at public places have been undertaken keeping the requirements of villages in view. These works would not only provide better facilities to residents but also strengthen basic infrastructure in the villages.

Referring to the foundation stone of the Sub-Health Centre building at Kakoria, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that expanding healthcare services to rural areas is essential. Once completed, the new building would enable people of the area to access healthcare facilities locally, reducing the need to travel long distances for general health services while strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the area.

The Minister said that the government is expanding necessary facilities in rural areas according to their requirements rather than limiting development works to cities. Development works are being prioritised keeping the demands and needs of residents in view. She also urged villagers to extend their cooperation in development works, saying that the joint efforts of public representatives and citizens could further accelerate the development of villages. The villagers expressed gratitude to the Health Minister for the various development works.
