Haryana Vidhan Sabha’s Monsoon Session to Commence from August 27
Government Taking Haryana Forward Through Public Welfare Decisions and Development Works: CM
Chandigarh, August 13: Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today addressed a press conference in Chandigarh after the Cabinet meeting and briefed the media about the important decisions taken by the government. He said that a total of 12 agendas were placed before the Cabinet, all of which were unanimously approved. The Chief Minister informed that the Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha will commence from August 27.
The Chief Minister said that the safety of students attending coaching centres is the government’s highest priority. In view of recent incidents, an effective policy has been formulated for coaching centres. He said that under the policy, registration of coaching centres will be mandatory. In addition, provisions have been made to ensure drinking water, fire safety, adequate seating arrangements and other necessary safety standards for students. Action will also be taken against institutions violating the prescribed rules. He said that the objective of the government is to provide students with a safe and better environment.
Reacting to the incident of an attack on Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal in Maharashtra, the Chief Minister said that such incidents are condemnable. He said that it is even more unfortunate for such an incident to take place in a Gurughar, as places of worship are open to people from all communities and sections of society. Maintaining peace and harmony at such places is the responsibility of everyone.
*CM Hits Back at Congress Protests*
Responding to the protests being held by the Congress, the Chief Minister said that the Opposition has the right to protest in a democracy, but the Congress should also introspect. He said that the people of the state are well aware of the situation concerning the interests of employees and youth during the Congress regime. He said that his government has taken several important steps in the interest of employees.
He said that approximately 1.20 lakh personnel have been provided job security through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, and important decisions have been taken towards ensuring job security while keeping the interests of employees in mind.
The Chief Minister said that the Congress has no concrete issue and is therefore trying to mislead the people. He said that the Congress leadership repeatedly attempts to spread misleading information, but the people of the state are satisfied with the functioning of the government.
*Government Committed to Youth Welfare and Employment*
The Chief Minister said that the Congress did not do enough for the youth of the state, whereas the present government is continuously working for the welfare of every individual, particularly the youth. He said that the government has provided employment opportunities to youth through a transparent system, and no young person needs to approach anyone for a job.
He said that the government is working to ensure better opportunities for youth in education, skill development and employment, while creating new avenues of employment through expansion of industries in the state.
Regarding waterlogging in Gurugram, the Chief Minister said that the state has received exceptionally heavy rainfall this time, but the administration had already made the necessary preparations. He said that clear directions had been issued to officials to take immediate action in case of waterlogging. He said that the situation at several locations has improved considerably compared to earlier and the administration has taken effective measures for drainage. The government is making every effort to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience.
*Strict Directions on Law and Order*
Regarding incidents of crime in the state, the Chief Minister said that strict action should be taken against criminals and it is essential that criminals fear the law. He said that the police are arresting criminals and taking action against them as per the law.
The Chief Minister said that maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the government and he has issued strict directions to police and administrative officers to ensure action on every complaint and that people in need do not face any difficulty in getting an FIR registered.
*Sportspersons Receiving Better Facilities and Employment Opportunities*
On Haryana sportspersons winning medals at national and international levels, the Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government has established a transparent and effective system in the field of sports. Sportspersons are being provided better training, facilities and encouragement.
He said that the government has placed special emphasis on nurturing sporting talent from the nursery level itself. Children are progressing from sports nurseries to sports grounds and winning medals for the state. The Chief Minister said that since 2014, extensive improvements have been made in the state’s stadiums and sports infrastructure. Modern facilities are being provided to sportspersons along with better opportunities to advance in their careers.
He said that sports have also received a boost through the policies of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and the support of the Central Government. Along with encouraging sporting talent, the Haryana Government has also ensured recognition of medal-winning sportspersons by providing them government jobs.
