Chandigarh, September 15: The Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation has provided financial assistance of Rs. 176.50 lakh to 59 beneficiaries under various schemes during the current financial year up to August 2026. This includes a subsidy of Rs. 138.75 lakh.

Giving detailed information in this regard, a spokesperson of the Corporation said that loans are provided to people belonging to Scheduled Castes under various categories to enable them to establish their own businesses and self-employment ventures. These categories include agriculture and allied activities, industrial activities, trade and business, and self-employment. Financial assistance is also being provided under schemes implemented with the assistance of the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation.

He said that under the trade and business category, 58 beneficiaries were provided Rs. 53 lakh, comprising Rs. 26.60 lakh as bank loans, Rs. 20.25 lakh as subsidy and Rs. 6.15 lakh as margin money.

The spokesperson said that with the assistance of the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation, Rs. 11 lakh was released to one beneficiary under the small business category during this period. Of this amount, the direct loan component from the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation and the Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation was Rs. 3.96 lakh. In addition, a subsidy of Rs. 109.50 lakh was also distributed.
