Chandigarh, August 26: Haryana has gained fresh momentum in the investment sector during the 666 days of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s second term. While the Chief Minister’s approachable and affable style has earned him a distinct identity among the public and in political circles, his credibility among domestic and international investors has also grown significantly.

As a result of this growing confidence, entrepreneurs have so far committed to investments of around Rs 1.10 lakh crore through 140 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). Of these, 17 MoUs involving investments worth Rs 66,821 crore, signed during the roadshows held in Gurugram on June 1, 2026, and in Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, on August 24, are particularly significant.

Industries and Commerce Minister Sh. Rao Narbir Singh said that during Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s first visit to Japan, Japanese companies had expressed their intent to invest around Rs 3,900 crore through 10 MoUs. He said Japanese companies are known for fulfilling their commitments. Japanese companies, which began investing in Haryana with the establishment of Maruti’s first unit in Gurugram in the 1980s, have played a significant role in transforming Gurugram into the Millennium City.

He said that to realise Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat-2047, the Haryana Government has prepared the Haryana Vision Document-2047. Under this vision, all major departments have been directed to prepare roadmaps for their respective plans up to 2030. These plans will subsequently be taken forward in phases up to 2035, 2040 and 2045, with the objective of taking Haryana to new heights of development by 2047.

Sh. Rao Narbir Singh said that under ‘Happening Haryana 2.0’, roadshows will be organised in four major metropolitan cities of the country—Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai—to attract investors to Haryana. The Mumbai roadshow was successfully held on August 24, while the next roadshow has been proposed to be organised in Bengaluru, the country’s IT hub. He said the government would ensure that no entrepreneur investing in Haryana faces any difficulty from the government side.

He said Haryana’s geographical location, robust road network and excellent connectivity make it a key destination for investment. Almost every district of the state is connected to the National Highway network. The Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and the Jewar Airport in Uttar Pradesh provide the state with enhanced air connectivity. Today, travelling from one end of the state to the other takes around three and a half hours, compared to seven to eight hours before 2014. The unprecedented improvements in roads, public transport and air connectivity during the BJP government’s tenure have further enhanced Haryana’s attractiveness as an investment destination.

He said Haryana has a Chief Minister who believes not merely in making announcements but in delivering results on the ground. The investment agreements signed during the 666-day tenure of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini are a direct testament to this transformation and the growing confidence of investors in Haryana.

Sh. Rao Narbir Singh said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the National Skill Development Corporation has set a target of providing self-employment opportunities to 30 lakh youth across nearly 2 lakh panchayats in the country. In the same direction, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, on the occasion of World Entrepreneurship Day, flagged off two vehicles under the ‘Haryana Yuva Udyami Yatra’ to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth of the state. These vehicles will travel to all districts of Haryana, staying for three days in each district, engaging with aspiring young entrepreneurs and providing them information about the industrial and entrepreneurship opportunities available in Haryana.
