*Applications to be Submitted Through Concerned Heads of Departments by October 23*
Chandigarh, October 6: The Haryana Government has notified the schedule for the upcoming departmental examinations for officers and employees of various departments. The departmental examinations will be held from November 16 to November 20, 2026, at Saarthak Government Integrated Senior Secondary School, Sector-12-A, Panchkula. The examinations will be conducted in two scheduled sessions. The morning session will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., while the evening session will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In this regard, a notification has been issued by Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi.
On November 16, the examination for Assistant Commissioners, Extra Assistant Commissioners, candidates for the post of Extra Assistant Commissioners and Tehsildars will comprise Criminal Law, First Paper and Civil Law. For the Forest Department, the examinations will be held in Forest Law and Land Revenue. For the Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department and Fisheries Department, the examinations will be held in Accounts and Departmental Rules. For Block Development and Panchayats Officers of the Development and Panchayats Department, the examination will be Paper-I: Development and Planning. For SDOs of the Engineering Groups of the Panchayati Raj Department, the examinations will be Estimating and Costing (Electrical)-I and P.W.D. Specifications-I. The Wildlife Preservation Department will also conduct examinations in Accounts and Departmental Rules on the same day.
On November 17, the examination for Assistant Commissioners, Extra Assistant Commissioners, candidates for the post of Extra Assistant Commissioners and Tehsildars will comprise Criminal Law, Second Paper and Financial Rules. For the Forest Department, the examinations will be held in Procedure and Accounts and Hindi. The Co-operative Department will conduct the examination in Accounts. For Block Development and Panchayats Officers of the Development and Panchayats Department, the examination will be Development Schemes, Paper-II. For SDOs of the Engineering Groups of the Panchayati Raj Department, the examinations will be Electrical Transmission and Distribution-II and Design-II.
On November 18, the examination for Assistant Commissioners, EAC candidates and Tehsildars will comprise Criminal Law, Third Paper, including provisions relating to jails, and Revenue Law, First Paper. For the Prisons Department, the examination will cover the Punjab Jails Manual and related subjects. For Block Development and Panchayats Officers of the Development and Panchayats Department, the examination will be Paper-III: Budget and Accounts. For SDOs of the Engineering Groups of the Panchayati Raj Department, the examination will be in Manual of Orders, Accounts and Office Procedure (Electrical). For the Elections Department, the examination for Assistants and Election Kanungos will be Election Law-I.
On November 19, the examination for Assistant Commissioners, Extra Assistant Commissioners, candidates for the post of Extra Assistant Commissioners and Tehsildars will comprise Local Funds and Revenue Law, Second Paper. For the Prisons Department, the examinations will be Criminal Law, Paper-III and Financial Rules, Paper-IV. For Block Development and Panchayats Officers of the Development and Panchayats Department, the examination will be Paper-IV: Allied Acts. For SDOs of the Engineering Groups of the Panchayati Raj Department, the examinations will cover the Electricity Act and related technical subjects. For the Elections Department, the examinations will comprise Administrative/Accounts Rules for Assistants and Election Kanungos, and Election Law for Clerks, Junior Scale Stenographers and Moharrirs.
On November 20, the examination for Assistant Commissioners, Extra Assistant Commissioners and candidates for the post of EACs will be Hindi, while for Tehsildars, the examinations will be Patwari's Mensuration and Urdu. For the Agriculture and Horticulture Department, the examination will be Accounts. For the Prisons Department, the examination will be Language (Hindi). For SDOs of the Engineering Groups of the Panchayati Raj Department, the examinations will be P.W.D. Specifications and Estimating.
Candidates intending to appear in the departmental examinations are required to submit their applications through their respective Head of Department or Administrative Secretary, as applicable, by October 23, 2026. Applications sent directly to the Central Committee of Examinations will not be entertained.
