*Competitions Help Nurture Creativity and All-Round Development Among Children- Rajesh Nagar*

*Minister Attends District-Level ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ Programme in Bhiwani*

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana  Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Sh. Rajesh Nagar said that schools must provide children opportunities beyond academics to nurture their creativity, confidence and overall personality. Speech, painting and rangoli competitions, he said, provide an effective platform for children to express their ideas and broaden their outlook.

The Minister was addressing the district-level ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ programme organised by the Education Department under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Bhiwani on Friday. He attended the programme as the Chief Guest and planted a sapling on the school premises to promote the message of environmental conservation.

Sh. Rajesh Nagar said that a series of inspirational and public welfare activities are being organised across the country under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Educational institutions are also organising speech, painting and rangoli competitions to encourage students to articulate their vision for the country and contribute to the idea of a Viksit Bharat.

Referring to the country’s development, the Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, significant expansion has taken place in infrastructure, including national highways, railways, airports, universities and AIIMS. He said the Prime Minister’s 25 years of public service have been marked by a sustained focus on development and public welfare.

During the programme, student Deeksha presented her vision of ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ and Viksit Bharat, while other students presented cultural performances. The Minister also visited the selfie point set up at the venue and encouraged students to imbibe a spirit of patriotism.

Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Sahil Gupta, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Mayank Mishra, and other dignitaries and school staff were present.
