Chief Minister invites Gujarat’s industrial fraternity and diaspora entrepreneurs to participate in the proposed Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit’ in April 2027

Chandigarh,

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, during his visit to Gujarat, interacted with diaspora entrepreneurs from Haryana and representatives of Gujarat’s industrial sector at a Pravasi Milan Samaroh held in Surat on Tuesday. He said that Haryana’s diaspora entrepreneurs, who have achieved success in Gujarat through their hard work, entrepreneurial spirit and vision, have not only established their own identities but have also made significant contributions towards strengthening economic and industrial cooperation between the two states.

The Chief Minister said that the relationship between Haryana and Gujarat is not limited to business alone but is also rooted in the cultural heritage, industrious spirit and shared commitment to nation-building of both states. The story of Lord Sri Krishna, from Kurukshetra to Dwarka, conveys the message of action, duty and public welfare. He said that Haryana’s diaspora entrepreneurs carry the values of Haryana along with their experience of Gujarat’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. By leveraging this experience, new opportunities for investment, technology, trade and employment can be developed between the two states.

Favourable Investment Climate and New Industrial Policies in Haryana

The Chief Minister said that Haryana is rapidly expanding its capabilities in modern manufacturing, automobiles, electronics, IT, data centres, logistics, pharmaceuticals and food processing, alongside traditional industries. Gurugram is among the country’s leading corporate and technology hubs, while the Gurugram-Manesar-Bawal region has a strong base of automobile and ancillary industries. Faridabad is also a major engineering and manufacturing hub.

He said that the Haryana Government has introduced nine sector-specific policies along with the ‘Make in Haryana Industrial Policy-2026’. Through these policies, the state has set a target of attracting fresh investments worth Rs. 5 lakh crore and generating 10 lakh employment opportunities over the next five years. Investment opportunities tailored to investors’ needs are being offered in sectors such as electronics, IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS), artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, data centres, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, agribusiness and food processing.

He invited textile entrepreneurs to explore opportunities for setting up new production units and investing in technical textiles. He also urged entrepreneurs from the diamond and jewellery sector to consider the possibilities of establishing a Gems and Jewellery Park in Haryana. He said that opportunities for collaboration could be explored to develop an integrated ecosystem encompassing lab-grown diamonds, jewellery manufacturing, design, finishing and exports.

The Chief Minister said that Maruti Suzuki’s manufacturing network extends from Gurugram, Manesar and Kharkhoda in Haryana to Hansalpur in Gujarat. Following the commencement of production at the company’s second unit in Kharkhoda in May 2026, the combined annual production capacity of its facilities in Haryana and Gujarat has increased to 26.50 lakh vehicles. This demonstrates how industrial hubs in different states can strengthen one another through supply chains, technology and markets.

He said that there is similarly significant potential for cooperation in auto components, machinery, textiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronics and logistics. Expanding businesses established in Gujarat into Haryana, setting up new production units, and developing warehouses and technical facilities could prove beneficial for both states.

Invitation to Participate in the ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit’

The Chief Minister stated that Haryana’s economy is growing rapidly. According to estimates for 2025-26, the state’s economy has reached approximately Rs. 14 lakh crore, with the real growth rate estimated at 9.5 per cent. He said that this economic progress reflects the growing potential for new investment, production and employment opportunities in the state.

He said that during ‘Happening Haryana 2.0’, held in Mumbai, companies signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) for proposed investments worth more than Rs. 66,000 crore. The proposed ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit’ in April 2027 will be an important step in this direction. He called upon Gujarat’s industrial fraternity and Haryana’s diaspora entrepreneurs to participate actively in the summit and connect their associates, investors and supplier networks with investment opportunities in Haryana.

Emphasis on Ensuring Investment Benefits Reach Youth and Local Enterprises

The Chief Minister said that the real benefits of investment would be widespread only when it creates opportunities for local youth in training, skill development and employment, while also enabling small and medium enterprises to become part of supply chains. He urged entrepreneurs to provide training and work experience to the youth of Haryana in their companies and encourage local enterprises as well.

The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government wants to connect the experience, suggestions and investment potential of diaspora entrepreneurs with the state’s development journey. He expressed confidence that a strong industrial partnership between Haryana and Gujarat would make a significant contribution towards realising the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047.
