Chief Minister Extends Vijayadashami Greetings to the People of Haryana in Rohtak
The Vision of Ram Rajya Lies in Ensuring Dignity for the Poor, Justice for the Vulnerable, Safety for Daughters and Equal Opportunities for Youth
500-Year-Old Dream Fulfilled Under the Leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Ram Lalla Took His Place in the Grand Temple in Ayodhya: CM
Chandigarh,
Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the festival of Vijayadashami conveys the message of the triumph of good over evil, righteousness over unrighteousness, and justice over injustice. Along with burning Ravana’s effigy, we must also resolve to eliminate evils within ourselves, such as ego, falsehood, hatred, discrimination, drug abuse and corruption. He said that the purpose of power is not to promote arrogance and oppression, but to eliminate injustice and establish righteousness and justice in society.
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini was addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest at the grand “Buraai Se Achhaai Ki Ore” (From Evil to Good) event organised by the Sanatani Yuva Foundation in Rohtak on the occasion of Vijayadashami. He witnessed a spectacular presentation of the story of Lord Sri Ram in the sky through 300 drones by the artists of the film Hanuman Ansh. He also set fire to the effigies of Kumbhkaran, Meghnad and Ravana. During the event, he also listened to devotional songs presented through Bhajan Clubbing by the Keshav Bhakti Rock Band alongside the Ravana Dahan ceremony.
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini congratulated all the office-bearers of the Sanatani Yuva Foundation for organising the event. He said that the episodes associated with Vijayadashami, including Lord Sri Ram’s slaying of Ravana and Goddess Durga’s destruction of Mahishasura, inspire us to stand against injustice and oppression.
In the Satyuga, Lord Narasimha brought an end to Hiranyakashipu’s arrogance; in the Treta Yuga, Lord Sri Ram killed Ravana and established righteousness; and in the Dwapara Yuga, Lord Sri Krishna delivered the message of the Bhagavad Gita on the sacred land of Kurukshetra, showing humanity the path of righteousness and duty.
He said that unrighteousness has raised its head in every age, but righteousness has always confronted it. In the present era, Ravana has a thousand faces, representing falsehood, hatred, discrimination, ill intentions, drug abuse, corruption and discrimination against daughters, among other evils. Merely burning Ravana’s effigy is not enough; the true message of the festival lies in eliminating the evils within ourselves.
Ram Rajya Means Justice and Dignity for Every Section of Society
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the vision of Ram Rajya represents a society where the poor are treated with dignity, the vulnerable receive justice, women and daughters feel safe, and young people get opportunities to progress without discrimination. The benefits of government schemes and good governance must reach the person standing at the last rung of society.
