Ambala Cantt’s ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’: 233 Donate Blood at Mega Camp; Minister Anil Vij Announces ₹1,100 Honorarium for Every Donor

Chandigarh, 06 October — Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh.Anil Vij, today inaugurated a mega blood donation camp organised by BJP’s Sadar and Shastri mandals at Farukha Khalsa School in Ambala Cantt, where 233 donors gave blood as part of the nationwide Seva Sankalp Abhiyan (17 September–17 October 2026) marking 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.

Minister Vij announced that each blood donor would receive ₹1,100 from his discretionary fund as a token of appreciation. He also felicitated donors with badges and certificates, and encouraged women workers who participated in large numbers.

Record turnout, lines of donors

Speaking to media persons at the camp, Vij said donors were standing in queues to give blood, while there was a shortage of recipients. “We had set a target of 400 units across our four mandals. Given today’s overwhelming response, we will surpass that target,” he said, noting that rural and Mahesh Nagar mandals had already held their camps, and today’s Sadar and Shastri mandal camp was completely full.

When society works together, our country moves forward faster,” he added.
