100-bed Civil Hospital in the Assandh Assembly constituency

Chandigarh, August 31 – Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao informed the House that the construction of the 100-bed Civil Hospital in the Assandh Assembly constituency is likely to be completed by February 10, 2028.

The Health Minister was replying to a question raised by a Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly during the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

Arti Singh Rao said that the construction of the above-mentioned hospital was delayed because an existing hospital was already functioning at the site where the new building was to be constructed. The existing hospital was subsequently vacated and shifted to another location.

She further informed that construction activities were also halted due to the restrictions imposed under GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) Stages III and IV in the NCR region, in accordance with the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT). Consequently, construction activities commenced in November 2025.

At present, the work is in progress and 15 per cent of the work has been completed. The construction of the hospital is likely to be completed by February 10, 2028.
