Despite extensive loss of life and economic damage at the time, Gujarat rebuilt rapidly and, in the following years, established a new identity in the field of development.
He said that during his nearly 12-13 years as Chief Minister of Gujarat, a model of development emerged that was discussed not only across the country but also globally. It was due to these development initiatives and his leadership capabilities that public confidence in Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi grew across the country, and in 2014, the people of India blessed him by electing him as Prime Minister.
