SAFAL Exam Successfully Conducted Across Haryana

Chandigarh, September 6 - With the objective of providing opportunities to students from economically weaker sections of Haryana to advance in the fields of education and technical skills, the Government of Haryana (HARTRON) is implementing the “Skill Assistance Fellowship in Advanced IT Learning (SAFAL)” scheme.

A HARTRON spokesperson said under the scheme, eligible students will be provided scholarships, enabling them to seek admission to Information Technology-related skill training courses at Hartron Advanced Skill Centres (HASCs). A 75% concession in the prescribed course fee will be provided under the scheme.

The SAFAL scheme aims to enhance the employability of students from economically weaker backgrounds by providing industry-oriented training in modern Information Technology domains and preparing them for better academic and employment opportunities.

Training opportunities will be provided in modern technology areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science & Analytics, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Web & Mobile Technologies, and Big Data Analytics.

Applications were invited from eligible students under the SAFAL scheme. The last date for submission of applications was 30th August 2026, by which a total of 1,720 applications were received.

As per the eligibility criteria of the scheme, the annual family income of the applicant must be below Rs.1.80 lakh and the applicant must have passed 10+2 or possess a higher educational qualification.

For selection of eligible beneficiaries, the SAFAL Computer-Based Scholarship Test was conducted on 6th September 2026 (Sunday) at examination centres located at 32 Hartron Advanced Skill Centres (HASCs) established in various districts of Haryana, as well as at IDDC, Ambala and HMSDC, Gurugram.

To ensure the smooth, fair and transparent conduct of the examination, all necessary arrangements were ensured at the designated examination centres. These included candidate verification, attendance marking, seating arrangements, functional computer systems, CCTV surveillance, internet connectivity, technical support, examination discipline, and confidentiality and security of the examination.

HARTRON appreciated the cooperation and support extended by all examination centres, Examiners/Invigilators, Centre Support Staff, Technical Support Team, and the concerned officers and employees in the successful conduct of the examination.

The SAFAL Computer-Based Scholarship Test was conducted for the selection of eligible beneficiaries for awarding 1,000 scholarships under the scheme. The candidates who appeared in the examination will be selected as per the prescribed eligibility criteria and selection process.

The successful conduct of the SAFAL Computer-Based Scholarship Test is an important step by the Government of Haryana towards providing skill training and scholarship opportunities to students from economically weaker sections in modern areas of Information Technology.
