Haryana Steps Up Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, Anurag Rastogi Seeks Active Public Participation

Haryana Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi today reviewed the district-wise action plans for the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, being organised to mark the 25 years of dedicated public service and transformative governance of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. He called upon all Deputy Commissioners and district administrations to ensure that the campaign is implemented as a vibrant public movement with visible and meaningful participation of citizens.

The Chief Secretary reviewed the preparations and proposed activities of districts under the campaign, which is designed to bring government initiatives, public service, social participation and development activities together on a common platform. District-wise action plans covering all 23 districts of Haryana have been prepared, with activities planned from September 17 to October 17, 2026.

Sh. Rastogi stressed that the success of the campaign should not be judged merely by the number of programmes organised, but by the extent to which people are actively connected with the initiatives and tangible changes are visible at the grassroots level.

He directed the district administrations to ensure close coordination among all concerned departments and prepare for effective implementation of activities relating to public welfare, sanitation, environmental protection, education, health, innovation and community participation.

Commissioner & Secretary, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, Sh. K Makarand Pandurang informed that the campaign framework envisages a wide range of activities like Ashirwad Ka Diya/Raktadan, Mere Sapno Ka Bharat-Chitra Seva, Namo Seva - Ankahi Kahaniyan, Aangan Milan Seva, Seva Ki Kahani, Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra Viksit Bharat Ka Sankalp, Vadnagar Se Varanasi, Seva Mera Yogdan, Seva Setu Abhiyan, Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra Ke Sang, Seva First Innovation Challenge and Sushasan Seva Samvad. In this regard, a Namo Marathon will be organized in Ambala district on September 17 while a blood donation camp and a drone show will be held in Kurukshetra district on the same day.

Calling for a coordinated approach, the Chief Secretary said that officers must work beyond departmental boundaries and ensure that the campaign becomes a collective effort involving government institutions, educational establishments, local bodies, panchayats, social organisations and citizens. He said the Administrative Secretaries must monitor the activities assigned to their respective departments on a regular basis to ensure effective implementation.

“The objective should be to ensure that the campaign leaves a visible and lasting impact at the grassroots. Every district must work with innovation, coordination and commitment so that people themselves become active partners in the journey of development,” Sh. Rastogi said.

Vijayendra Singh, Commissioner & Secretary, Women & Child Development, Sh. Shekhar Vidyarthi, Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Local Bodies, Sh. Ashok Kumar Meena, Director, Information, Public Relations, Languages & Culture, Dr. Aditya Dahiya,  Director, Women & Child Development, Dr. Priyanka Soni, and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
