25 Years of Service, Good Governance and Nation-Building, Haryana to Take the Journey to Every Citizen
Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ will be organised across the State from September 17 to October 17, 2026, to take Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s historic 25-year journey of public life, public service, good governance and nation-building to every citizen. He said the campaign will not merely be a series of programmes. Still, a broad-based public movement to express gratitude for the Prime Minister’s commitment to service, take information about his public welfare initiatives to every family and ensure citizens’ participation in building a Viksit Bharat.
The Chief Minister shared detailed information about the preparations, programmes and objectives of the campaign during a press conference held in Panchkula. Media Advisors to the Chief Minister, Sh. Rajeev Jaitley and Praveen Attrey, and BJP District President, Ajay Mittal, were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that on October 7, 2026, Karmayogi, visionary and illustrious Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi will complete 25 years of his historic journey of public service and service to the nation through governance. He paid tribute to the Prime Minister for his extraordinary, uninterrupted and dedicated service to the nation over the past 25 years. He said his tenure as Chief Minister and Prime Minister represents an inspiring chapter of service, good governance, resolve and nation-building.
He said the development journey that began with the reconstruction of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, has today evolved into the grand resolve of a developed and self-reliant India. This 25-year journey is not the journey of one individual, but a journey of India’s growing self-confidence. The defining feature of the Prime Minister’s journey, he said, has been that he treated power not as a means of comfort, but as a medium of service. By transforming the work culture of politics, he has demonstrated that if leadership has clear intent, clear policy and strong resolve, extraordinary transformation can be brought about in the life of the common citizen.
*Prime Minister’s Special Bond with Haryana: Projects Worth Rs. 86,000 Crore for the State*
Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said Haryana has been the ‘Karmabhoomi’ of Sh. Narendra Modi and, therefore, he shares a special bond with the State. As Prime Minister, he has visited Haryana 18 times and, during this period, has given projects worth Rs. 86,000 crore to Haryana. Besides, Haryana has received more than Rs. 7 lakh crore over the past 12 years through various Central Government schemes.
He said the major projects given to Haryana by the Prime Minister include the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, Rail Coach Repair Factory, KMP Expressway, KGP Expressway, Ballabhgarh-Mujesar, Mundka-Bahadurgarh, Gurugram-Sikanderpur and Faridabad-Ballabhgarh Metro links, elevated railway tracks in Rohtak and Kurukshetra, Rohtak-Meham-Hansi railway line, Rithala-Kundli Metro Corridor, National Cancer Institute at the AIIMS campus in Jhajjar and AIIMS in Rewari.
He said that recently, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the country’s first hydrogen train on the Jind-Sonipat railway route.
‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to Begin September 17: A Mass Campaign of Service, Values and Public Participation
The Chief Minister said the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ will begin on September 17, the Prime Minister’s birthday, with ‘Seva Diwas’. Blood donation camps will be organised on the day and the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme will be held in the evening.
He appealed to every family in Haryana to light an ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ at their home at 7 PM on September 17. He said when the lamp of service and resolve is lit in every home, the whole of Haryana will glow with a sense of warmth and gratitude towards the Prime Minister.
He said painting and speech competitions will be organised in all schools from September 17 to October 7. Similarly, the Prime Minister’s 25-year journey of transformation will be taken to villages on October 2 through street plays, music, dialogue and emotional presentations.
He said public welfare schemes launched by the Prime Minister have transformed the lives of crores of families, but their stories often remain untold. During the campaign, such untold stories will be brought before society.
From September 25 to October 7, ‘Aangan Milan Seva’ programmes will be organised with active participation of mothers and children. The contribution of Anganwadi and ASHA workers will also be honoured during these programmes. Similarly, the true transformation stories of 25 lakh citizens of the country will be brought before the people.
He said foot marches and bike rallies will also be taken out from different directions in villages and districts.
*Every Citizen to Devote at Least 25 Minutes to Society*
The Chief Minister said the Prime Minister believes that a Viksit Bharat cannot be built through government efforts alone, but requires the contribution of every citizen. Guided by this spirit, a campaign will be undertaken to ensure that every citizen devotes at least 25 minutes to society.
He said one person may donate blood, another may plant a sapling, someone may undertake a cleanliness drive, teach digital technology to senior citizens or educate needy children. Creating awareness about drug de-addiction, road safety, water conservation, cyber security, women’s health and organ donation can also become a form of service.
The Chief Minister said special Seva Yatras will be undertaken from the Prime Minister’s birthplace, Vadnagar, to his present ‘Karmabhoomi’, Varanasi, and from Varanasi to Vadnagar. These yatras, through 20 different groups and routes, will pass through nearly 10 states.
