*CM Chairs District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee meeting at Gurugram* 

Gurugram, July 25- Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday said that cleanliness, beautification and planned urban development of Gurugram are among the State Government's highest priorities. 

Chairing the meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee, he directed officers that there would be no compromise with the city's cleanliness and aesthetics. He directed officers of all construction agencies and concerned departments to ensure that Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste is disposed of only at designated sites and in accordance with scientific norms.

Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA, Smt. Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA, Sh. Tejpal Tanwar and Gurugram MLA, Sh. Mukesh Sharma. A total of 15 grievances were taken up during the meeting, of which 13 were resolved on the spot, while directions were issued to keep two cases pending until the next meeting. The Chief Minister asked the concerned officers to submit status reports on the pending cases in the next meeting.

*Ensure time-bound disposal of complaints received on CM Window*

The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on the prompt and effective resolution of complaints received through the CM Window. He said that he personally reviews complaints lodged on the portal regularly and directed all officers to deal with every complaint seriously, impartially and within the prescribed timeline. He warned that any negligence, indifference or mala fide conduct on the part of officers would invite strict action. 

The Chief Minister said that whenever a citizen approaches the Government with a grievance, it becomes the responsibility of the Government and the administration to ensure its resolution. He directed all officers to treat public interest as their highest priority and dispose of complaints on the CM Window with sensitivity so that citizens receive timely relief.

*Immediate action ordered to improve civic amenities in Wazirpur Enclave*

During the meeting, members of the Residents' Welfare Association (RWA) from Wazirpur Enclave in the Municipal Corporation Manesar area highlighted several civic issues before the Chief Minister. They informed him that although the colony had been regularised by the Government, it continued to face shortages of basic amenities such as sewerage, street lighting, drinking water and paved internal roads. They also sought strengthening of the power infrastructure and enhancement of electricity load in view of the increasing population.

Taking serious note of the grievances, the Chief Minister directed officers of the concerned departments to conduct a joint survey of the colony and ensure that the issues are resolved on priority. He said providing basic civic amenities to citizens is the Government's foremost responsibility. He made it clear that negligence in development works would not be tolerated and directed all departments to work in coordination and complete the required works within the stipulated timeframe so that residents receive relief at the earliest.

*Strict action against builders disconnecting electricity over maintenance charges*

Members of an RWA from Sector-83 informed the Chief Minister that a builder was disconnecting electricity connections of residents who had not paid maintenance charges. They said such actions were causing unnecessary hardship to families.

Taking serious note of the matter, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini directed the concerned authorities to ensure that no builder resorts to disconnecting electricity supply to any residence for the recovery of maintenance charges. He warned that any builder found indulging in such arbitrary practices would face strict action in accordance with the law. 

The Chief Minister said there could be no compromise with the basic rights of citizens and that all such matters must be dealt with strictly as per legal provisions.

*Illegal dumping of C&D waste to invite stringent action*

A complainant from Sector-102 informed the Chief Minister that a builder was dumping Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste in the open, leading to violations of environmental norms.

Taking serious cognisance of the complaint, the Chief Minister directed officers to initiate strict action, in accordance with the rules, against any individual or agency found illegally disposing of C&D waste. He further directed that the entire cost of removing illegally dumped C&D waste should be recovered from the concerned builder or organisation.

The Chief Minister directed officers to ensure that within one month no C&D waste is found dumped in the open anywhere in Gurugram. He also directed that notices be issued to builders violating the rules, penalties imposed as per the law, and an effective mechanism put in place to prevent recurrence of such violations.

Vivek Kalia and other officers also remained present on this occasion.
